With Snippets you can include text snippets in your content. You can make reusable snippets (pieces of text/content) and include them into your content via a tag, like {snippet my-first-snippet}

If you edit the article (or module or wherever you put the tag), you will still see the tag. But on frontend view you will see the content of the snippet instead.

You can use this to insert much used content for instance. Then, if you change the content of the snippet, it changes everywhere you have used the tag.

The Snippets tag

The Snippets editor button will help you insert Snippets tag. You don't have to use this, you can also just type the tag directly into your content. The tags look like:

{snippet snippet-id}

So to place a snippet you have given the id 'copyright', you would have to place:

{snippet copyright}

Using dynamic snippets

You can pass along 'variables' with the tag which can be placed inside the snippet. This way you can use one snippet and it will generate different output, depending on what you pass along in the tag.

With Content Templater you can create predefined reusable content templates.

Not only can you make complete standard page layouts, you can also use Content Templater for text snippets. So any piece of text you want to use more than once, just make a content template of it!

Under the editor you will get a list of available templates. If you select a template, your predefined content will be pasted in your article or other content item. And all the options you have set in the template will automatically be set (like title, alias, publishing settings, show icons settings, etc.)

Automatically load template

You can set templates to load as default. This way, the template will be loaded when you create a new article (or other content item). You can limit templates to certain sections / categories. So you can define different default templates per category.

This simple plugin adds an unique CSS class name to each page, to allow the development of personalized and unique pages.

It was originally developed to save time when developing a website on Joomla 2.5. Without this plugin, you would have to go to each menu item and apply an unique css class. If the website have a lot of menu items this can save you from some tedious work.
